Generally, there is a lot of public anticipation on the kind of money that is spent by the Indian authorities on these official visits abroad. So now there is an official paper that was released in the Parliament regarding the foreign trips of the Prime Minister.
PM Modi’s foreign visits have cost over ₹74.58 crore in 2026, with total overseas travel expenses crossing ₹550 crore since 2021, according to the Ministry of External Affairs in the Rajya Sabha.

Many people are commenting that India cannot afford to spend so much money on the Prime Minister’s travel plans every year while basic infrastructure like roads and buildings are so bad already and need repairs.
