Anam and Kotamreddy requested police permission for peaceful protest on CBN’s arrest, but the police warned them of consequences if they took part in it. The MLA didn’t pay heed to the same and took part in the protest.

These two MLAs kept their phones away to avoid police tracking and they mobilized crowds for the protest. In the end, the protest was a mega success with a huge crow turnout.

In this context, Nellore police have filed cases on Anam and Kotamreddy over the allegation that they created a law and order issue in the state. The fact that the YCP MLAs themselves, albeit rebels, were on the receiving end of the use of police power by the YCP government has caught the attention.
