Noted leader from Vijayawada, Pothina Mahesh, resigned from the Jana Sena Party. He officially submitted his resignation letter today.
In the letter, Mahesh stated that he was resigning from the party’s membership and the positions he held. He thanked everyone who supported him in this journey.
Mahesh expected Jana Sena’s ticket for the Vijayawada West constituency. However, as a part of the alliance between TDP, JSP and BJP, the Vijayawada West’s ticket has been given to BJP’s Sujana Chowdary.
Reportedly, Mahesh was upset with this move and decided to leave Jana Sena along with his supporters and followers.
Mahesh hasn’t announced his future plan yet. It would be interesting to see whether he joins YCP or contests as an independent candidate.
