The Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad is one of the highly secured political enclosures as it is now the official residence of deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka. But on the 23rd night, there was an accident here and it involved the son of Ex-BRS MLA.
The said ex-MLA is Mohammed Shakeel from the Bodhan constituency. His son Sohel was allegedly driving the BMW car during the time of the accident. Overspeeding is the reason behind the accident, it is established.
The car slammed into the traffic barricades that were put in place before the Praja Bhavan. The incident happened at 2:45 AM in the night and it resulted in the barricades getting smashed. The front of the BMW was completely smashed.
Sohel, who was allegedly driving the car immediately fled the scene after the accident. The police rushed to the scene and nabbed a man. It was identified that there were two other men and three females in the car during the time of the accident.
The initial breathalyzer test identified that the co-passenger wasn’t under the influence of alcohol. But Sohel who allegedly absconded hasn’t been named in the case. Some other person was named as the accused. The police are investigating the case now and more details will be out in the due course.
