After Megastar Chiranjeevi‘s Press Note, YSR Congress is trying to claim a Clean Chit for Jagan Mohan Reddy in the case of ill-treating the film industry and the celebrities.
The other day, R Narayana Murthy also released a Video Byte saying Jagan treated them nicely and he did not insult anyone.
There are divided opinions about Narayana Murthy’s Clean Chit.
Narayana Murthy usually commands huge respect from everyone for leading a simple life and for making films voicing the issues of the poor and the downtrodden.
But then, after this, he is at the center of a storm.
Some old videos have surfaced on social media in which Narayana Murthy is seen praising Jagan Mohan Reddy for various reasons.
Probably, he has some political interest in YSR Congress and that is not wrong too.
Also, that should not change the opinion on R Narayana Murthy.
But then, in the same video, Murthy is seen saying the Government should not increase the prices of the Film Tickets as that is burdening the small and medium films.
It is interesting to note that Murthy has gone to Jagan along with the other celebrities and the agenda of that meeting is the Ticket Prices Hike. So, there is a clear contradiction.
As far as the insult is concerned, it is an open secret that Jagan tormented the industry by selling tickets at abnormally low prices. We have seen the films of Pawan Kalyan suffer and even Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy suffer just because the actor made a comment that is remotely against the then Government.
The Government officials were posted at theaters and tickets were sold at low prices to inflict losses.
To please Jagan, even the big stars like Mahesh Babu and Prabhas had to keep their apolitical side aside and go to Tadepalli.
And if we talk about the insult at this meeting, even though Chiranjeevi and Narayana Murthy take the other side, no one has doubts about Jagan’s intentions.
The videos of the actors walking to Jagan’s house and Chiranjeevi pleading Jagan with folded hands were released to the media.
Keeping aside everything, releasing those videos itself amounts to insult.
With all due respects, people like R Narayana Murthy should keep themselves away from topics like this.
