Raghu Rama Krishna Raju – This is one of the Most Popular Names in Andhra Pradesh Politics in the last five years.
The downfall of the YSR Congress started with RRR. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju won on YSR Congress ticket but turned Rebel for Jagan Mohan Reddy and fought against the Government for around four years.
He was the first to turn opposition for Jagan Mohan Reddy even before the Opposition recovered from the 2019 defeat. He fought an intense battle in the name of Rachabanda (a TV program he did every day for more than three years) and played his part in Jagan’s downfall.
He had to face Sedition cases and also custodial torture in jail. But he relentlessly fought.
BJP insisted on having the Narasapuram Parliament seat and denied Raghu Rama a ticket.
Naidu had to move him to Undi. Despite a strong rebel from TDP there, Raghu Rama won with a thumping majority of 56,777 votes.
During the tenure he differed with Jagan, YSR Congress ensured that he did not step in the constituency or the state for around four years.
Raju, however, actively fought for the people in his own way and the public rewarded him with a massive victory.
Undi is a seat RRR did not chose but he is easily the most active MLA in the state.
He is in no mood of celebration and sprung into action immediately after the result.
He is not waiting for the Government funds and is trying to improve the infrastructure in his constituency by involving the people.
He setup a bank account ‘Drainage Maintenance Infrastructure Fund, UNDI’ and is pooling money for the constituency development.
People and farmers are donating to the fund with the idea of playing their part in the constituency development.
Several celebrities are also impressed with his commitment and are donating to the cause.
