Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will be addressing a rally in Hyderabad as part of the party’s nation-wide campaign against demonetization and subsequent “anti-people” measures taken by the Central government. The rally is likely to happen in the second half of this month.

The exact date of visit is yet to be fixed. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy was informed about it by the party’s high command. Congress is demanding that the central government should adequately compensate women and small businessmen who have incurred losses during the past 50-days.
The main opposition party is also planning a 24 hour hunger strike throughout the nation this month. The entire party cadre and leader will sit for a fast on this issue. But then the issue very much shows Congress’ disconnect from the people. The country has moved on from the issue and is co-operating with the government.
