Cricketer Ambati Rayudu’s Political Career was finished even before it started. In less than ten days after joining the party, Rayudu announced quitting the YSR Congress. He tweeted that he would take a short break from politics.
Rayudu expected Ponnur Assembly ticket from YSR Congress. Rayudu’s native is in the Ponnur constituency so his first choice. But then, the YSR Congress convinced him that Guntur MP was best suited for him considering various factors.
Rayudu was touring the constituency participating in YSR Congress programs for the last 6-8 months.
He was praising Jagan and YSR Congress schemes sky-high.
He is also made indirect comments about other political parties increasing negativity about him.
Sources say that Rayudu spent quite a bit of money already for the party and also pulled out of the IPL as he will have to face the elections.
But then, everything changed after Rayudu joined the party on December 28th.
All of a sudden, Jagan refused him the ticket in the name of I-PAC surveys. The Chief Minister wants to move Narasaraopeta MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayulu to the Guntur Parliament. The reports are all over the media and Krishna Devarayulu also spoke to media about it.

This has been the problem with Rayudu always. His cricketing career is always marred with Controversies.
In domestic cricket, he switched teams from Hyderabad to Andhra Pradesh because of a scuffle with a teammate and later switched back to Hyderabad from AP.
Later, he joined the Rebel ICL league and irked BCCI. Luckily, he got amnesty from the BCCI.
He was picked for Team India after his excellent performances for Mumbai Indians in 2010. But his inconsistency always became a problem.
From picking up a fight with Harbhajan Singh to abusing umpires, he was always in the news for the wrong things.
During the 2019 World Cup, his tweet against BCCI for not selecting him made things even more complicated. Finally, he had to retire prematurely without realizing his potential.
He displayed the same hurriedness in Politics as well. He chose the wrong time and wrong party to foray into politics and it finally backfired.
