Defections and Vendetta Politics have become quite common in Telugu Politics. KCR took them to next level in his bid to eliminate TDP and Congress and we have seen Jagan Mohan Reddy taking that to next level in troubling the Political Opponents.
Political leaders are now under pressure or compulsion from the party cadre to take revenge. So this kind of Politics will continue even after KCR and Jagan.
Revanth Reddy is not going to be an exception but he seems to be taking a different approach.
We normally expect him to go after the KCR‘s family after coming to power. But he is handling it differently. He seems to be targeting the Big Bureaucrats first.
The last month, Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau on Wednesday trapped former HMDA director (planning), Shiva Balakrishna, ACB sleuths unearthed massive disproportionate assets. Balakrishna is currently secretary of Telangana State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera), and planning officer of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited.
While digging deep into Balakrishna’s case, media reports suggest that the authorities also found out a dubious land transaction in the name of former Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar‘s wife.
Balakrishna and Somesh have worked closely with KTR and KCR respectively. We may see more Senior Government officials running into Trouble very soon.
There is a buzz in the Political Circles that Revanth Reddy is cleverly taking this approach of targeting the small fish first and they may lead to the BRS Top Leadership.
With this approach, Revanth Reddy will not be seen hungry for Vendetta, they say.
