Rivals Begin Preparation for Life after Jayalalithaa’s Demise

While AIADMK is still struggling to come to terms with life after Jayalalithaa’s demise, the rival party, DMK has started its preparation. DMK has elevated the Opposition Leader, MK Stalin as the party’s Working President in the General Council meeting held a little while ago.

Making Stalin powerful in the party will be to showcase a strong leadership for the people. O Paneer Selvam who is the appointed Chief Minister after Jayalalithaa‘s demise is just seen as a dummy by the people while it is more or less clear that Sasikala does not possess the clean image that is needed to be the heir.

2017 is going to be an interesting year in Tamil Politics. There is a leadership dearth in Tamil Nadu with the sudden demise of Jayalalithaa. It has to be seen what is running through the minds of Tamil Nadu people. We will get to see what only in the Parliament elections of 2019.
