Madras High Court Doubts Jayalalithaa’s Death

The high court issued notices to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, state and central governments and others asking why can’t we order exhumation of the body of the former Tamil Nadu chief minister.

The court expressed it dissatisfaction over the secrecy maintained by people around Jayalalithaa, who was declared to have died on December 5 after 75 days of hospitalization. The court clearly said that even it has doubts about her death. This is when hearing to a PIL filed by AIADMK party worker, PA Joseph.

The court pointed out that no revenue division officer (RDO) had seen the body, neither were there any medical records furnished even after the death. It has to be seen if the courts will direct to reveal the reasons behind one of the high profile and mysterious death in the history of Independent India.
