Sasikala to Make Backdoor Entry to Amma’s Chair?

Jayalalithaa’s Confidante, Sasikala will be elevated to Party’s General Secretary level on 29th of this month. Chinnamma is said to be preparing an emotional speech during the event to try and attract the party leaders as well as the cadre in the state. The party even got a special photo shoot of Chinnamma recently.

But then Tamil Political Circles are abuzz that the elevation is more of a drama. The General Council Meeting of the party seems to be a fabricated one with only Sasikala‘s confidantes being invited. Buzz is that the meeting will happen only with limited members.

Only 40 people from smaller districts and 50 from the bigger ones are being called by AIADMK to this meeting and their decision will give a feel that Sasikala has unanimous support in the party. Both MGR and Jayalalithaa were holding Party’s General Secretary and the Chief Minister Posts. Many believe it is just a formality that Sasikala will repeat the feat very soon. O Paneer Selvam, the current Chief Minister is more of a dummy until Sasikala prepares ground for her elevation.
