About 2 years after the state bifurcation, both the state governments have also decided to divide the state Data Centre (SDC) in Hyderabad. Andhra Pradesh government will be moving its database to Vijayawada, where it will set up a new SDC. The new server will also play a major role in Naidu’s dram project e-Pragati too.

The transfer process will begin with the transfer of Aadhaar-related data to a new server dubbed ‘people’s hub’. Oracle will be managing the server at the cost of 15 Crore per month. The divided server will be situated at SDC in Hyderabad for some time. But, it will be moved to Vijayawada soon.
The current server is being managed by Wipro and is located at Gachibowli. According to AP State Reorganisation Act, the server will remain with Telangana after 10 years and AP should set up its own server. AP government had requested the Center to grant Rs 50 crore for the new SDC but there is no response. And so the state decided to take up the project for itself.
