Andhra Pradesh Government has claimed that the Vishakapatnam Gas Leakage has come under control. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked his ministers to go and sleep in the affected villages for one night to instill the confidence in the locals.
Some Ministers are already claiming that they have done it. The State Government has deployed volunteers on a door-to-door survey to identify the affected people so that they can get the compensation promised by the Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
A media report said a Volunteer who went for the survey fell sick and fainted. The report said he is immediately shifted to a hospital. This media report also appeared in TV9 which is favorable to the Ruling Party. Interestingly, after the issue became viral, the video was taken down by TV9.
This incident indicates that things are far from being normal in the affected villages. Its high time, the Government does something about it instead of paint an ‘All is Well’ picture.
