One more suicide attempt for Special Status!

Suicide attempts continue in the demand for Special Status. This time in West Godavari district. A man named Sundarapu Durga Prasad of Chebrolu village near Tadepalligudem attempted suicide by immolating himself with kerosene.

While immolating he shouted slogans demanding Special Status. He was rushed to a local hospital immediately by the locals. His condition is said to be very serious. Special Status demand is turning a sentimental issue in the truncated state.

People are worried about the state’s future with the insensitive central government ignoring Andhra Pradesh. In yesterday’s meeting of AP CM and the Prime Minister, there were enough indications that the promise can not be kept.
