The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing on the quash petition filed by Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seeking to dismiss the case registered against him by the CID in the skill development case to tomorrow (September 10th).
A bench comprising Justice Aniruddha Bose and Justice Bela M. Trivedi of the Supreme Court has taken up the investigation of Chandrababu’s petition.
Harish Salve elaborated on the issue of how Section 17A is applicable to this case and the FIR should be quashed on that ground.
He also termed this act of the Government as a ‘Revenge Regime’.
Government’s Advocate Rohatgi sought an excuse from the court that he could not pursue arguments and asked the Bench to post them for Friday. The Judges, however, refused and said they would hear it tomorrow at 10.30 AM.
After hearing Justice Harish Salve elaborately, the Bench rose for the day.
Arguments on the petition will continue on Tuesday.
