Pawan Kalyan‘s Janasena Party did not open its account in the Parliament elections in 2019. According to India Today’s Mood of the Nation December Opinion poll, Janasena and its alliance partner, BJP are unlikely to open their accounts if elections happen today.
According to the opinion poll, NDA will come back to power with 296 seats. That means 56 seats less than what it got in 2019. UPA headed by Congress is still a long way to go with 127 seats. The survey also gives a state-wise seat tally of NDA.
It gives a blank for Janasena and BJP in Andhra Pradesh. BJP drawing a blank is not surprising but Janasena once again not opening its account in Parliament elections is something to worry for the party. Probably, that is an indication that the alliance is not working.
It is the reason why there are rumors about Janasena moving towards TDP that keep coming every now and then. On the other side, the survey gives six seats to BJP in Telangana. Two more than what it has now in the state. Telangana Rashtra Samiti will have nine, one down from what it has now.
