The neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu is heading for Assembly election today with the polling getting underway already. The polling started at 7 in the morning, and it is expected to progress till late in the night.
As expected several cinema stars and celebrities turned up at the polling booths first thing in the morning today.
Superstar Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar, Kamal Haasan, Sivakarthikeyan, Anirudh Ravichander and several others were seen at the polling booths earlier today to cast their votes.
It is always a good sign when big stars turn up in numbers to cast their votes during the election, as this will not just influence their followers, but also the general public to step out on their own and do their duties.
The public voting percentage till 9 in the morning today is 17.69% which is considerably higher than the percentage at the same 9 am in 2021 which happened to be 13.80%.
It is good that the voting percentage till 9 am is fairly strong and the numbers are marginally higher than 2021. This is a very voter turnout till this point in time and we shall see how the momentum would be sustained in the next few hours.
