Operation Akarsha has started in Andhra Pradesh. Two Rajya Sabha MPs of YSR Congress – Mopidevi Venkata Ramana and Beeda Masthan Rao have resigned and are going to join the Telugu Desam Party.
Another MLC – Pothula Suneetha also resigned. Telugu Desam Cadre is shell-shocked about the party’s high command admitting these people.

Mopidevi was a close-confidante of YSR and Jagan. He was the prime accused in the Vanpic case and one of the accused in Jagan’s disproportionate assets cases.
The TDP cadre of Repalle suffered for many years due to Mopidevi and they will have to work with him now.

Beeda Masthan Rao was previously in TDP and deserted the party when in trouble.
Pothula Suneetha’s political existence is due to the opportunities given by the TDP. She deserted the party when in Opposition and used the foulest of language on Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh. She did not even leave Bhuvaneshwari and Brahmani.

But then, TDP leadership says such joinings are important to decimate Jagan politically.
Chandrababu Naidu speaks as if resignations will cleanse the leaders.
But then, the cadre is not as practical as the party’s leadership.
Cadre is not into political equations like the leaders. They would not fight a tyrant like Jagan and suffer with cases if they were into such calculations.
If the cadre is practical, they would sit tight in their homes in the last five years.
TDP cadre does not have any enmity with Mopidevi or any other YSR Congress leaders. They are not as practical as the leaders in doing convenient politics.
The problem is that they will not learn to become practical even now. They will vent their frustration for a day or two and will later toe in line with the party’s line. Hence the leaders always take the cadre for granted.
