APCID Chief N Sanjay and Additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy have been going to the media continuously making allegations about Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
So far four Pressmeets have happened on this issue so far – two in AP, one in Hyderabad, and one in Delhi. AAG Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy is also seen attending Television Channel Debates.

Speaking to a TV Channel in Delhi, Lokesh opined that what CID Chief and AAG are doing is against their Service rules. TDP Senior Leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that they would bring this to the notice of the court.
“This is nothing but a media trial but here the Government officials are feeding false allegations to the media with their pressmeets. Only last week, the Supreme Court became serious about such media trials and asked police to be sensitive in media briefings. But these are not media briefings. They are intentional,” Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said.

During this issue, a bench led by CJI Justice DY Chandrachud said, “Administration of justice is affected by ‘media trials’. This is a very important issue because it involves the interests of the victim and the accused. It also involves the interest of the public at large. It is important to sensitize police personnel”.
