Telangana Assembly to go Digital

Telangana Assembly is planning to go paperless completely. The state government is planning to have questions, Agenda, motions all via internet with out using papers. In the Union Budget tabled the other day, the Finance Ministry stopped giving the hard copies of the budget and only circulated digital copies.

Telangana government is also toying the idea. A final decision on the timing of this implementation is pending with the Chief Minister. The government discussed about with this with the leaders of all the parties the other day. Haryana, Goa and other states have already gone digital. A team of Telangana Assembly was sent to those state to study their model.

The government is also planning to suspend those members for one year, who are obstructing Governor’s speech. The state government is also toying the idea of conducting the Assembly session in two halves of the day till 7 PM in the evening. The Budget session of Telangana Assembly will begin from 10th March.
