Telangana Government seem to be buying time in the issue of assets and liabilities division among both the Telugu States. This is the issue pertaining to all the 142 institutions listed in the 10th Schedule of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. Telangana’s argument with Union Home Ministry officials is not appearing convincing.

Telangana urged the center to postpone the meeting until Supreme Court decides on the Review Petition filed by the state government. This can not be possible as there is no stay order on the review petition. Not only that, the Supreme Court is yet to even admit the review petition.
And then Telangana Principal Secretary said that the Supreme Court judgment applied only to the Board of Intermediate issue. But then it is clearly mentioned in the judgement copy that the ruling applies to all the 142 institutions listed in the 10th Schedule. Legal Experts say Telangana’s case may not stand in Supreme even if the review petition is admitted. They say Telangana is just trying to delay things as much as possible.
