Over the last few weeks there are indications that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to shift his camp office to IAS Officers’ Association campus next to the CM’s camp office in Begumpet. Even though there are no official orders regarding shifting of the camp office, R&B officials have started demolishing the swimming pool in the campus.
It was first said that they are only leveling the vacant plot near the swimming pool. But all of sudden they demolished a part of the swimming pool and filled with mud, apparently on the instructions of K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s Vaastu adviser Suddala Sudhakar Teja.
They are now concerned that other facilities on the premises like the tennis court, gymnasium, yoga hall and function hall might also be demolished. While Telangana officers remained silent, AP officers are raking up the issue saying that the premises serve the officers of both states and as per the AP Reorganisation Act, Section 8 (1), only the Governor has the power to take a decision on the management of government buildings in the common capital Hyderabad for 10 years.
