Telangana state extended its help to the neighbouring Telugu state which is toiling under the effect of Hudhud Cyclone. Telangana government has sent power appliances worth 18 Crore to Andhra Pradesh.This includes 520 Transformers, 28500 electric poles and 900 Kms of wires. The electric supply to the affected districts of Uttarandhra is totally disturbed. These equipment will help the state to some extent from restoring them to normalcy.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao also has offered to extend all necessary assistance to neighbouring state to combat the problem. KCR expressed his concern over the devastation being left behind by the severe cyclone. KCR also directed Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma to be in constant touch with his Andhra Pradesh counterpart, IYR Krishna Rao to to extend necessary help in the relief operations in AP. It is known that three districts of Uttarandhra including Vishakapatnam city were totally reduced to debris with early estimate of 60000 Crore property damage. The loss of life is cut down considerably with the government’s foresight and precautionary measures.
