BRS is the only party that has been in power since the formation of Telangana as the party won both elections with KCR serving as the only chief minister of the state thus far.
However, despite the enigmatic victories in two elections, BRS hasn’t yet opened its account in as many as 17 MLA seats across Telangana. Shockingly enough, 10 of these are in Greater Hyderabad itself. The other 7 are in the erstwhile Khammam district.
In Khammam district, BRS hasn’t yet opened its account in Madhira, Sattupalli, Aswaraopeta, Bhadrachalm, Yellandu, Pinapaka, and Wyra constituencies. BRS is putting in its best efforts to win at least 5 of these 7 constituencies in the coming election.
In the Greater Hyderabad region, BRS hasn’t yet won Goshamahal, LB Nagar, and Maheshwaram. The KCR-led party hasn’t won its friendly party MLA segments like Nampally, Charminar, Chandrayanagutta, Karwan, Malakpet, Bahadurpura, and Yakutpura.
BRS then took in Sabitha Indra Reddy from Maheshwaram and Sudheer Reddy from LB Nagar and gave them MLA tickets. They are expected to win their seats this time around.
In this year’s election campaign, BRS has allocated 7 seats to MIM while the KCR-led party will contest in the rest 112.
