Telugu States give nod to trial of corruption cases!

Telangana-andhra-new-mapBoth the Telugu States, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have given their nod to prosecute their public servants named in corruption cases. Governments in both the states have cleared almost all cases except two in which those named in such cases will now be prosecuted. Two cases not cleared by the governments belongs to one each to each state.

This was told to a special high court bench on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding the status of sanctions. Mr Ravikiran Rao, special prosecutor appearing for the Anti Corruption Bureaus (ACBs) of both the states had stated the court regarding where both the governments stand on this issue.

Telangana government has to give sanctions to prosecute M.Balaji Naik, assistant commandant of the special police battalion of Nalgonda and AP has to clear the trial of C. Shanthi Swaroop, forest range officer. The high court bench directed both the governments to accord sanction in both the cases in a week.
