Temporary Capital gets environmental clearances!

The proposed Temporary Capital in Amaravathi has managed to get environmental clearances. AP government announced that Union environment ministry issued the clearances. However there are some pending cases against environmental clearances for the full capital in National Green Tribunal.

On the other side, AP government is keen to complete the Temporary Secretariat by June and shift the employees to there. If every thing goes as per plan, Temporary Secretariat and Assembly will fully function from the Temporary accommodation in Amaravathi. Mean while efforts are on to finalize the Master Developer of the Capital.

The government is waiting for Singapore companies final bid before taking a final call on this. Also the upcoming Union Budget will have so much of bearing on the Capital as the state government is looking forward for some liberal allocations for the capital construction. According to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, Center should bear the expenses of the government buildings in the capital.
