Ministry of External Affairs released the list of top 10 countries with the highest number of Indian students. And as expected, the United States universities hosted the top number of Indian pursuers. The ministry has collated the data by asking the students abroad, to enroll themselves with the information of what they are pursuing.

Coming to the numbers, 4.4 million students in 75 countries are from India and out of them, about 1,70,000 are studying in American universities. Next is Australia and then comes Canada in the line. The United Arab Emirates hosted the least out of the top 10.
Reports say that the ministry released the list as a reply to the question raised in the Lok Sabha. The ministry has also been involved in guiding the students to choose the appropriate and properly authorized Universities.
