The 2026 Tamil Nadu election results delivered a message that the DMK is clearly struggling to hear. After decades in power, the 75-year-old party was toppled by Vijay’s two-year-old TVK. Despite this, Udhayanidhi Stalin is still making comedic claims, trying to spin the numbers to hide the fact that his party was rejected by the masses.
Udhayanidhi argues that 65% of people voted against TVK, but he ignores the much harsher reality: nearly 75% of voters chose someone other than the DMK. While he and several of his ministers lost their seats and are now sitting at home, he continues to use childish logic to explain away the loss. In reality, the DMK’s vote share fell significantly behind TVK’s, proving that the public was ready for a total change.
While the opposition stays busy with walkouts and social media digs, Chief Minister Vijay has already moved on. He is focusing on governance and building a roadmap for 2029, completely ignoring the noise from his rivals just as he did during the campaign. For Udhayanidhi, the era of being the center of attention is over, as the voters have officially handed the keys to a new leader.
