It is known that ex Gannavaram YSRCP MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi was arrested today in Hyderabad.
But what’s intriguing is the high drama that preceeded the arrest. The AP Police reached the house Vamsi was staying in, in Raidurgam in Hyderabad. On the pretext of changing his clothes, Vamsi went inside and called up ‘blue’ media and some YCP leaders.
He came out only after the blue media channels reached the spot. This gimmick of Vamsi angered the police who are planning to file a new case on Vallabhaneni Vamsi.
Vamsi was arrested in the attack on Gannavaram TDP office case. Apart from him, cases have been filed on 88 people. TDP office employee Satyavardhan lodged a complaint based on which the cases were filed. However, later Satyavardhan filed an affidavit in the court saying he had nothing to do with the case.
Following this, Satyavardhan alleged that he was kidnapped and threatened. So a case was filed on Vamsi and 5 others.
Vamsi meanwhile had approached the court for anticipatory bail. The court will decide on it on February 20.
