It is known to our readers that Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy made horrible comments at Kovvuru TDP MLA Vemireddy Prashanti Reddy.
TDP Supporters have vandalized Nallapareddy’s house in retaliation. The Police have registered a case against Prasanna, but have yet to take any action against him.
Meanwhile, it is said that the TDP high command is thinking along the lines of inducting Prashanti into the cabinet in the coming expansion.
Prashanti Reddy has a good image in the constituency, especially among women.
Inducting her into the cabinet will send a positive message to the people across the state that TDP stands by women.
Moreover, she has earned a very good name in the constituency. She is solving many issues in the constituency with the funds of their foundation without waiting for the Government’s assistance.
The Vemireddy family’s hold on the Nellore district is well known. On the other hand, her husband, Vemireddy Prabhakar Redd,y is the Nellore MP from the Lok Sabha and is a prominent figure in district politics.
He had originally hoped for a ministerial post for his wife, Prashanthi Reddy. But that did not happen.
Prabhakar Reddy is financially very strong and can influence politics across the district. If his wife is inducted into the cabinet, it will help TDP across the district.
Moreover, Kovvuru is the bastion of YSR Congress. Giving Ministry to Prashanti Reddy will strengthen her position there.
Nellore district is one district that has had absolute dominance of the YSR Congress ever since the party’s inception.
It is always the case with Congress, and the same has been passed on to YSR Congress after YSR’s demise.
In the 2014 election,s when TDP won, the party could only manage three seats out of the ten in the district.
In 2019, the party drew a blank here.
In 2024, YSR Congress could not even open its account in the district.
Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy was initially announced as the candidate for YSR Congress in the Nellore Parliament. But Vemireddy was snubbed after Jagan did not take him into confidence while picking the candidates under his Lok Sabha segment.
He joined TDP. The Cycle party got a strong candidate in the form of Vemireddy, and YSR Congress had to bring Vijayasai Reddy to Nellore out of nowhere.
Vemireddy brought the positivity needed for the TDP in the district, and the party registered a clean sweep there.
The Party High Command wants to continue to promote positivity by taking Vemireddy Prashanti into the cabinet.
