Andhra Pradesh government had decided to celebrate the Ugadi festival officially in the Capital notified villages. This will be Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s first visit to the region after the completion of record breaking Land Pooling exercise. We are days ahead of the visit but the officials are yet to figure out the venue for CM’s address and felicitation to farmers who sacrificed the lands.
Government earlier decided to use the open ground opposite Nagarjuna University for this purpose. It was earlier used for CM’s swearing in ceremony. However Minister Pulla Rao and local MLAs are not in favour of this venue as the area is not included in the land pooling.
They want the event to be held in Tullur mandal itself. Pulla Rao is recommending Ananthavaram village for this event. The famous Venkateswara Swamy temple and the Vaastu of Anantavaram also makes Ananthavaram as a good option they say. We will have to see what finally happens!
