LinkedIn survey has listed top 10 non-metros with fastest-growing professional opportunities. While Vizag tops the list, Vijayawada comes third.
The non-metros across the country include:

7) Agra, Uttar Pradesh

10) Jodhpur, Rajasthan
LinkedIn listed the cities in the survey titled ‘Cities on the Rise, 2025’. The listed cities are attracting both investment and talent due to economic opportunities, particularly in technology, healthcare and financial services.
Infrastructure development and improved connectivity are also working in favour of the cities becoming lucrative. The opportunities mean work closer to home or relocation to potential growth hubs without the hassles of living in a metro.
In Andhra Pradesh, Visakhapatnam is being seen as an industrial and employment hub with a vibrant technology ecosystem that is attracting several data and pharma companies.
Vijayawada, which was once known for being a cultural hub, is now seeing significant development with IT companies flocking in due to metro and airport expansions.
