What is Modi’s Internet speed?

An RTI application filed by an activist revealed that the Prime Minister’s Office is using an average of 34Mbps speed provided by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). Interestingly, the Startup Village in Kochi has 1Gbps connectivity which is almost 30 times the speed of our Prime Minister’s Office.

According to an International study, India ranks 115 in the world in terms of better Internet speed while South Korea has the maximum internet speed with 24.6Mbps. Only 1.2% internet users in India have the access to internet speeds of more than 10Mbps. It is no wonder our tech savvy Prime Minister has the access to such high speed internet connectivity. Our readers may be reminded that Modi’s government has allocated Rs 1 lakh crore for the ambitious Digital India project which ensures high-speed internet access to all villages of the country and the project is expected to be completed by 2019.
