Luxury Car makers like BMW, Volvo and Mercedez Benz are eyeing a huge market in the truncated state of Andhra Pradesh. Between April and October 2013, 1931 luxury vehicles were registered in the thirteen districts of AP and during the same period this year, the number shot up to 3,129, an increase of 62 per cent.
On the other side in Telangana, 4162 vehicles were registered last year and in April-October 2014, 5088 vehicles were registered with only a 22 per cent growth. That speaks alone for the market in Andhra Pradesh.
Mercedes Benz currently has outlets in Gudavalli area of Vijayawada and Hyderabad Volvo recently forayed in Visakhapatnam and is now looking for a showroom space in Vijayawada. Volvo is expecting to start its operations there from January next year. And BMW which currently has a showroom in Hyderabad very soon going to start one more in Mangalagiri area.
