Why Jagan Sidelined Amarnath?

Minister-Gudivada-Amarnath-Crying-On-Stage

Anakapalli MLA and State IT and Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath faced a setback when Bharat Kumar was appointed as the YSRCP coordinator for the Anakapalli Assembly Constituency.

The appointment left Amarnath without a coordinator role for another constituency, raising questions about his future within the party.

Known for his popularity on social media, particularly for his comparisons related to investments in AP with eggs, Amarnath’s status within the YSRCP is under scrutiny.

Despite being recognized as close to Chief Minister Jagan, the appointment of Bharat Kumar for Anakapalli has fueled speculations about Amarnath’s potential candidacy in the next election.

Amarnath, who hails from the Gajuwaka area, faced criticism for being labeled a non-local to Anakapalli.

Allegations include limited accessibility to the constituency, with claims that he attends government or party functions in the morning and leaves in the evening.

Internal surveys by the YSRCP leadership reportedly revealed strong opposition to Amarnath’s conduct among the people of the constituency.

Amid rumors that Amarnath may not be given the Anakapalli ticket in the next election, speculation arises about his potential interest in contesting from Yelamanchili, Chodavaram, and Pendurthi constituencies, where his community has a significant voter base.

However, his followers assert that he is keen on contesting the Assembly instead of Parliament in the upcoming elections.
