Ahead of GHMC elections in November, TRS government is resorting to all the tricks in trade to capture Mayor seat. After alliance with MIM, attracting leaders of other parties, the ruling party is trying to impress people. Most voters in GHMC are educated and can be attracted only by good governance. So, KCR government is planning to take the same route to impress them. Accordingly GHMC will very soon a universal toll free helpline. This number ‘211’ will help citizens to reach out GHMC on municipal complaints. This number will come in to operation very soon and government is planning a big publicity campaign to make it register in people.
Telangana Rashtra Samiti which had very little presence in the capital took the help of MIM to establish its foothold in the city. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao had sent clear instructions to his party chieftains to take the elections seriously as TDP-BJP combine has 14 out of the 24 assembly and two of the four Lok Sabha seats in the GHMC area in the recently-concluded polls.
