Who is Pawan Kalyan? He is a charishmatic filmstar turned politician who has the charm to lead a big party to victory in the recent Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. How can one forget his whirlwind tours which have avoided the State from slipping into the hands of one of the most corrupted leaders of our times.
Coming to Arvind Kejriwal, who was he? A common man who made friends with common people like him, fighting against corruption and in due course floated his own political party Aam Aadmi Party leading it to historical win in just concluded election scenario in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal isn’t a charismatic leader like Pawan Kalyan. He doesn’t have a big party with decades of historical background attached to it.
Nevertheless his endurance all through the months after his uncoming resignation and building his lost confidence has paid him dividends. In case of Pawan, it is completely different. He gave one call to ‘save AP from a corrupted leader’ and it became like a clarion Lord Sri Krishna blew to eradicate the evil Kauravas in Dharma Yudh, Mahabharatha.
Mission accomplished, Pawan is nowhere to be seen in the political arena. Though his political party got official recognition from the Election Commission, leave about building the cadre, Pawan’s ‘Jana Sena’ has no proper office till date. And it has been a one man show giving rise to criticism that stars from Tollywood lack persistance in the long run building a support system for public.
Hope atleast now, a star like Pawan Kalyan takes a feather from AAP’s victory and understands the importance of building the party from grassroot level.
