The Special Status is creating nothing less than a storm in Andhra Pradesh. It is appalling for the people to see BJP taking U turn on the promises it made before the elections. The immediate impact of this decision would be on the State BJP leaders. BJP never really had any hold in Andhra Pradesh.

But the saffron party gets few seats whenever there is an alliance with TDP. This time the party managed five Assembly Seats and two MP seats as a result. But now this issue will seal the careers of these leaders unless they change the parties. AP people are very vigilant when it comes to politics.
We have see how they reduced Congress to ashes after the division. The same may happen to BJP as well if this reluctant attitude continues. So the state leaders are already worrying if the high command is putting their careers at stake. The party which goes with BJP will also suffer in the next elections, if at all there is an alliance, unless situations change drastically.
