According to the latest reports, the ordinance has been revised today and eliminated punishment of jail to the old money holders and clarified that minimum fine of 10,000 rupees would be put on the old currency holders after 31st of March. Tomorrow is the last date to deposit old notes in the bank, later which specified RBI banks would be allowed to accept the old currency with a satisfactory answer by the depositor till march 31st of next year.

These sudden notifications and announcements have become a regular activity to the center from the time Modi announced the Demonetization. But still, people are not habituated to the everyday changes and are left in dilemma every time a new notification comes.
