Yet another controversial decision by KCR!

Telangana government had taken down the state government’s website (www.goir.telangana.gov.in) where the Government Orders (G.O.) are uploaded. The government cited no reason in this move which curbs transparency and good governance.

The state government is already facing criticism for issuing about 500 G.O.s in its 20 months rule so far. The Chief Minister is of the opinion that making G.O.s accessible to public domain is increasing legal issues as various sections are filing cases against the government.

The CM is of the opinion there is no need to put the G.O.s in public domain. The decision was taken in the last cabinet meeting and was implemented from Wednesday. On the other side, AP’s GOs website is functional as usual.
