Before the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party was the only major regional party in the united state. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (formerly known as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi) was confined to Telangana politics.
However, after the state was separated and when BRS came into power, it emerged as the largest party in Telangana. Gradually, KCR’s government began sidelining TDP.
KCR’s son and former Minister, KT Rama Rao also insulted TDP on various occasions while his party was in power in Telangana. He also didn’t permit TDP leaders’ protests in Hyderabad when TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu was unlawfully arrested last year. He did many such things when he was in power for almost 10 years.
Fast forward one year later, BRS lost power in the state and is in its lowest phase since its inception. After losing in both assembly and parliamentary elections, BRS is fighting for its survival in the state.
Meanwhile, the Congress government has been taking on BRS leaders aggressively since it came into power. BRS is landing in various controversies and everything is going against the party, both online and on the ground.
Amidst these troubles, KTR recently took to social media to vent his anger against rival parties. He stated, “The failed Congress government and its CM in Telangana are desperate and frustrated with BRS thoroughly exposing their failures and corruption.”
He further warned the BRS social media cell that BJP, Congress, TDP, and their paid social media trolls would gang up to target BRS almost immediately. “Don’t let them distract you. Let’s focus on the good fight for the people of Telangana. Let’s be resolute in exposing their corruption, incompetence, and hypocrisy,” KTR added.
What surprised everyone is that after insulting TDP for nearly a decade, KTR has begun acknowledging TDP as BRS’s opponent and a potential threat in the future.
People on social media felt that instead of reducing enemies after losing power in the state, KTR is attempting to increase them. They affirmed that KTR should realise that he cannot fight TDP. Netizens further opined that it would be better for KTR to focus on targeting the ruling Congress rather than lamenting against other parties like TDP and BJP.
