When Chandrababu Naidu mooted the idea of Pattiseema, the hell broke loose and the opposition was hounding him and baying for his blood alleging that the project is a big scam. We still remember the visuals of Opposition Leader Jagan Mohan Reddy mocking the project in Assembly but all of them proved to be wrong.

Due to Pattiseema Project, Andhra Pradesh was able to divert 50 TMCs of water from the Godavari to Krishna Basin this year. Due to this, Rayalaseema has got never before water from Pothireddypadu this year. YSR Congress lately realized the value of Pattiseema and is now trying to take the credit for this project.
Some leaders have already started saying that it was possible only due to the 130 Km of Canals dig during YSR Regime. But then that will give rise to the questions why 130 Km of Canals took years and several 100s of Crores to complete when Chandrababu finished pending 45Km done in just 70 days.
The point of YSR Congress would have been valid at least for few people if they have put up the argument right from the Day one but then they were only saying that the project is waste and now suddenly wants the credit when it is a huge success. It will be a costly mistake for YSR Congress in Krishna Delta in 2019 elections.
