The ruling Telugu Desam Party has cleared way for YSR Congress Party in Allagadda bi-election by not fielding a candidate but YSR Congress reciprocated to the move by backstabbing them. It is said that YSRCP cut a deal with a congress that in case of not contesting in Allagadda, they will be supporting Congress in Kurnool DCCB. Currently Congress candidate Sridevi is the Chairperson of Kurnool DCCB.
TDP directors have moved a no confidence motion of Sridevi few days ago. Now Congress and YSR Congress will work hand in hand to save Sridevi’s post and in turn Congress will not field a candidate in Allagadda. YSR Congress has three directors in Kurnool DCCB. Earlier Congress contested in Nandigama bi-election which happened due to the sudden demise of Tangirala Prabhakar. Congress remained in fray despite the passed away MLA’s daughter being in fray but now not contesting in YSR Congress seat indicating a nexus between both the parties.
