The jumpings from YSR Congress to the ruling Telugu Desam Party are just refusing to die down. YSR Congress Gudur MLA (Nellore district) Sunil met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu a short while ago at CM Camp Office in Vijayawada and joined TDP in his presence.

Minister Narayana reportedly faciliated this joining. With this new joining, the number of YSR Congress MLAs who jumped in to TDP touched nine. And there is one MLC as well. Two other MLAs – Jyothula Nehru and Parupula Subbarao will also join the ruling party very soon. There are rumours in political circles that more MLAs will be joining TDP in this month.
TDP intensified Operation Akarsha ahead of the Rajya Sabha election that will happen next month. TDP is looking to cut down YSR Congress strength so that the opposition party will lose the lone Rajya Sabha seat it is entitled to get. These back to back joinings hit the morale of the party very much.
