There is a famous saying that no one wishes to stay on a sinking ship and this is evident if we take a look at YCP’s situation in AP. Several sitting MLAs and MPs have already quit the party months before the elections.
After the resignation of Kurnool and Machilipatnam MPs, there is a new addition to the list as Narasaraopeta MP Lavu Krishnadeva Rayulu has quit the party.
The young and prospective MP has quit the party and resigned the MP position effective immediately. He cited the prevailing confusing situations in YCP as the reason behind his decision.
There are reports that Lavu wanted to retain the Narasaraopeta MP ticket but the YCP high command insisted that he had to contest from Guntur. Middle ground wasn’t found, and in the end, the young MP decided to quit the party.
Amidst reports that the Narasaraopeta MP is in talks with TDP, this departure spree in YCP is raising doubts on the party’s chances in the coming elections, commented a political observer.
