Velampalli-Srinivasa-Rao-Volunteers

According to Election Commission rules, political parties are prohibited from using secretariat staff and volunteers in their campaigns.

However, in the Vijayawada central constituency, all secretariat staff and volunteers are serving the ruling YSRCP.

Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao is campaigning alongside volunteers and secretariat staff, gathering them division-wise and enticing them with gifts.

He expresses his belief in volunteers to secure victory and urges them not to betray his trust.

Notably, members of the Vellampalli foundation are stating that they will soon deposit Rs. 20,000 in the volunteers’ accounts, promising continued support until and after the elections with additional monetary benefits.

For Vellampalli’s visits to divisions within the Central Constituency, the division committees are given money. This amount is provided the day before the trip, considered as their contribution.

All tour arrangements, including crowd mobilization, are managed by Vellampalli’s team. This approach is aimed at countering non-cooperation from followers of Malladi Vishnu, who is Vellampalli’s rival.

Jagan has strategically transferred Vellampalli, the former Minister of Devadaya, from the West sitting MLA to the Central Constituency.

Vellampalli, facing corruption allegations as an MLA and minister in the western constituency, has been positioned in the central area to make it challenging for him to win in the west.

While allegations against Central sitting MLA Malladi Vishnu are comparatively less, Velampally’s actions have inadvertently boosted Malladi’s candidacy.

Despite securing the ticket, Vellampalli lacks confidence in winning, leading him to distribute money and strive for victory.

The entourage of sitting MLA Malladi Vishnu is suspicious of their cooperation and puts their trust in the volunteers. Meetings are organized division-wise as part of efforts to control the situation.

These meetings, under the guise of a volunteer introduction program, have been held at various venues, including YS Reddy Convention Hall in Pipela Road, Indukham Kalyanamandapam in Singhnagar, Rama Function Hall in Gandhinagar, and Gokaraju Gangaraju Kalyanamandapam in Mutyalampadu since the 4th of this month.

In these meetings, Vellampalli encourages every volunteer to contribute to his victory. A dinner is arranged for all meeting volunteers, and they are sent cookers as gifts.

The Vellampalli Foundation collects details of attending volunteers and plans to deposit Rs. 20,000 in their accounts, ensuring their commitment to working for his victory.
