India has truly embraced the digital revolution when it comes to financials and banking. Virtually every vendor across the country is accepting digital payments through UPI platforms these days.
It must be noted that people have also become increasingly dependent on digital payments for day-to-day transactions. Thankfully, Indian banking system has a robust mechanism with regard to UPI transactions, and that is the reason why there were several smooth transactions these days.
However, things are not as planned with regard to UPI transactions of late. Recently, there was a massive outage of UPI transactions across the country that left an alarming effect.
Cut to now again today, there is a similar situation as UPI service across the country took a hit. There are several reported cases of failed transactions and related hassles.
At first, all the leading platforms like PhonePe and Paytm experienced unnotified sever errors. People were unable to access their bank accounts that are linked to UPI platforms.
As a result, the daily transactions that are generally made through Paytm and PhonePe got halted. Strangely enough, every leading bank across the country, reported the same error on UPI.
This became a huge headache for everyone as people started to experience hassles while trying to transact. This is the second time that something like this is happening in India in close succession.
People on social media are venting out their frustration on these banks and platforms. They are saying that banks and platforms must issue a prior communication before cutting off services monetarily.
