Yesterday, India witnessed one of the proudest moments in the nation’s history as ISRO successfully landed Chandrayaan-3 on the southern pole of the moon. The event was, unsurprisingly, followed by multiple speeches from various political leaders.
However, they didn’t think twice before making some interesting remarks. Bengal’s CM, in particular, had something intriguing to say. She was talking about the iconic interaction between Indira Gandhi and Rakesh Sharma.
As Indira Gandhi asked him, “How does India look from space?” The reply came without hesitation, “Saare Jahan Se Accha.” But as Bengal’s CM was discussing it, she seemed to confuse Rakesh Sharma with the Bollywood director Rakesh Roshan.
Rakesh Roshan is one of the biggest names in Bollywood who has been in the industry since the 1980s. He is better known as the father of superstar Hrithik Roshan these days.
Rakesh Roshan is the man behind films like Karan Arjun, Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish.
This isn’t the first time she has made such a mistake. Even during the 15th August ceremony, she garnered widespread attention as it was evident that she was in a hurry. Over the years, her various public appearances have indeed generated laughter among the people.
In her speech, she congratulated everyone associated with the mission, and while describing the beauty and greatness of the nation, she let this mishap occur.
