A tragic incident has been reported from Bhopal where a 26 year old teaching faculty member died under suspicious circumstances after consuming bhang during a Holi gathering. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Nayak.
Krishna Nayak had reportedly gone to a flat in Naveen Nagar in the Aishbagh area to celebrate Holi with friends and students. During the gathering, bhang was mixed in milk and shared among people present at the celebration.
According to reports, Krishna allegedly consumed a large quantity of the drink. After some time, he began to feel uneasy and restless. His friends noticed that his health was worsening and immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital.
Doctors at the hospital declared him dead on arrival. The sudden death has left his family members, students and acquaintances in deep shock. The incident has also raised concerns among residents in the area.
Police have registered the case and started an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. Officials say the exact cause will only be confirmed after the post mortem examination report is released.
The incident has sparked conversations about safety during festive celebrations. Festivals such as Holi are meant to bring joy and togetherness. However, excessive consumption of intoxicating substances can sometimes lead to tragic consequences.
Many people point out that excitement during celebrations often leads individuals to ignore their limits. Such situations highlight the need for awareness and responsibility during social gatherings.
If excessive consumption of bhang played a role in this death, it could become a serious health concern. Experts often advise moderation and caution to prevent avoidable incidents during festive occasions.
